5 months

The school year is flying by.  Can't believe its almost Halloween and the holidays are just around the corner.  Brooklyn is still loving school and goes on her 1st field trip to the Pumpkin Patch tomorrow.  Griffin weight gain has improved with the addition of solids foods.  He still spits up a good bit, but it luckily never really seems to bother him.  He weighed 16 lbs 2 oz (40%) and was 26.5 inches long (60%) today at his doctor's appointment.  He was such a tough little guy and didn't even cry when he got his 4 shots.  He now has 2 teeth!!!  He is an early teether just like Brooklyn was.  Guess I better start saving for braces....  Here is just a photo dump from the last month.

4 Months

It is so cliche' but I really can't believe how fast babies grow. I don't know how it's possible, but I really think I love this baby more everyday.  Its also amazing to see the love between siblings.  They can do no wrong in each other's eyes.  You can already see the strong bond they share.  Not to say they won't have their spats but despite their age difference, I really do think they will be extremely close.  At least I hope so.





This is what our Saturdays look like:

Griffin was falling a little on his growth chart.  He still has terrible reflux and solids usually stay down a little better. Therefore, we got the go ahead to start cereal and introduce baby foods.  Hopefully his weight gain will pick back up.  Guess we will see...

Giggles and talking

I swear my baby boy changes daily.  He is still working hard on talking and is giggling more and more.  He was waking up in the middle of the night again for about a week, but think it was a combination of a growth spurt and cold. He is now back to sleeping around 10-12 hours a night. Here are a couple videos of him talking  and giggles.

They say it isn't possible to talk this early, but I somewhat beg to differ.  I am a little biased and proud though.

My heart just melts when I hear these giggles.

3 month pics and 1st Alabama game!

Griffin is now 3 months old.  He is starting to sit up pretty good with help of course.  He is giggling a little and of course full of smiles. He is really starting to coo and babble, which I just love.  He has always been a pretty good sleeper but started waking up in the night this past week.  I put him in his crib last night and he did a little better sleeping 9 hours.  Hopefully he was just having a little growth spurt and is over it now.  He still has reflux but I think it is improving.  Luckily he doesn't seemed to be bothered by spitting-up in the slightest. Wish he could stay little forever, but I am also looking forward to seeing him grow and develop. Just savoring every minute!

Football season has officially begun!! Saturday was Griffin's first Bama game! Chris is thrilled to have a boy to watch the games with and to teach everything he knows. This may include a little too much enthusiasm for the sport.  I am sure he will know every player/recruit before long.

Brooklyn starts school and Griffin is turning 3 months

We have been crazy busy in the Dorough household.  Brooklyn started cheer-leading and KINDERGARTEN!!!

Trussville's mascot is a husky so we thought it would be cute to get a picture of Brooklyn with Dakota for the program book.  As you can tell, Dakota wasn't exactly cooperating but we eventually got an acceptable picture. 

Brooklyn has Mrs. Lackey for Kindergarten and I think it is going to be a fantastic year.  She is thrilled that her boyfriend, Micah is in her class.  Her dad is not so much.

 Here is the morning of the 1st day of school.  She is thrilled to be riding the bus.

She has now been in school for over a week and still loving it.  Here is to hoping it last!

Griffin is such a joy.  He is always so happy and a great sleeper.   He sleeps between 9-11 hours typically. He now will giggle on occasion.  I know it is impossible for him to talk but I swear he tries.  He tries to mimic what he sees and hears.  I think he also gets frustrated when he can't get what he wants out.  He really keeps me entertained.  He loves his big sister and saves his biggest smiles for her.  It is so amazing watching them 2 together.

 With Anna and Griffin being a day apart we try to get their monthly pics together. This was from their 2 month photo session which was a few days after their 2 month birthday.
