Newborn pics and 1 month

We had my good friend and awesome photographer Lyndsey Cunningham come do some newborn/family pictures.  Here are a few of my favorites:

Can't believe Griffin is already a month old and how much he has changed. I forgot how fast babies grow. He is really starting to fill out.  He is even socially smiling.  So sweet but also a reminder that he is no longer a newborn. I am trying to enjoy every minute.  I am sure he is and will be spoiled rotten since I hate putting him down.  Here is just a photo dump of the last month.

Finally Back

After a year hiatus, I have decided to return to the blogging world.  Figured Griffin deserved a way to keep up with him just like Brooklyn did. Now here is a way to keep up with all of us. So a quick catch up on the last year...

Brooklyn has been her usual princess/drama queen.  She loved 4k and is in a summer program this year.  She is starting to learn how to read.  She is very social and her favorite thing to do is to play with friends.  She went for her first slumber party and now begs to have one every weekend. Here is a picture of her and her best friend Maci Rose.

 After trying to build a house for a couple of years we found one that we loved and decided to just buy.  We moved in September into our new home.  Brooklyn loves her new home and room and adjusted very well.

We found out in October that we were expecting #2!  We were beyond thrilled as it was quite a journey trying to have another.  Brooklyn was ecstatic to be a big sister.  We found out in December that the baby was a boy!!!  We were so excited to have one of each.  It wasn't the easiest pregnancy for me with numerous complications, but completely worth it in the end.  Griffin Jack Dorough was born May 29th at 11:46 A.M.  He was a month early but weighed a healthy 6 lbs and had no complications from being premature.

It has been amazing watching Brooklyn with him.  Really don't think she could love him any more.  She loves to hold him, feed him, play with him, and even change his diaper.  She is a wonderful big sister, but occasionally can be a little too "helpful".  She tends to think she can do more than she really can. Think he may end up with two mommies instead :).

One of our closest friends had their baby the day before we had Griffin.  It will be so fun raising them together and them being so close.
